Getting Started

HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn (Dungeon Quest Reborn / DQR) is a Roblox dungeon crawler by Delta Quarters OG under Voldex license. The day-one loop is simple: land in the lobby, claim rewards, equip a starter kit, clear an Easy dungeon, then upgrade keepers and sell junk. This guide walks that first session without wasting gold or dying on Hardcore too early.

If you need a longer progression plan after your first clear, jump to How to Level Fast. For the full dungeon ladder, use the Dungeon Walkthrough. Meta comparisons live on the Tier List Hub, and code status is on the Codes Hub.

Step 1 — Join the lobby and claim Daily Reward

Open the experience from Roblox Place 77649408247578 (search HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn). Servers hold a large lobby crowd while dungeon parties are typically up to four players. Find the Daily Reward NPC first and claim whatever is available. Daily login gifts are free progress—skipping them is pure loss.

Next, locate the Upgrade and Sell NPCs. You will use both after every run. Upgrade spends gold on weapons and gear you plan to keep. Sell converts trash drops into gold. Do not upgrade every blue or green you see; only invest in pieces that match your class and will survive the next dungeon tier.

Step 2 — Pick Mage or Warrior

For most new accounts, Mage is the recommended early class. Ranged Spell Power kits let you learn orange and red ground telegraphs from a safer distance. Warrior works if you prefer melee pressure, but early mistakes hurt more when you stand inside boss circles.

Whatever you pick, equip:

  1. A primary weapon appropriate to the class.
  2. At least two abilities you understand (Mage starters often include needle, cloud, or rain style spells—see the Mage Build page for Spell Power stacking).
  3. Any free cosmetic or seasonal Halloween item you want visible; cosmetics do not replace stats.

Re-check your hotbar before queuing. Empty ability slots are a common first-run failure.

Step 3 — Enable Shift Lock and learn movement

Turn on Shift Lock so camera and character face the same direction. Dungeon Quest Reborn telegraphs punish sideways drift. Circle strafing while locked makes it easier to kite trash packs and step out of boss zones. Full binding notes live under Players Controls. Practice a short lobby sprint so Shift Lock feels natural before Desert Temple.

Step 4 — Queue Desert Temple on Easy

Your first real clear should be Desert Temple on Easy. Do not jump to Nightmare or Hardcore on day one. Easy teaches pack density, chest timing, and the final boss telegraph without the one-life Hardcore rule.

In the dungeon:

  • Stay with the party if you joined co-op; splitting causes respawn delays and missed loot.
  • Focus marked elites only after trash is thinned.
  • Watch the ground—orange and red circles mean move now, not after the cast finishes.
  • Save a mobility or defensive ability for the boss room.

When the run ends, return to the lobby with whatever dropped. Compare each piece to your equipped slot. If it is a keeper for Mage Spell Power or Warrior weapon damage, plan an Upgrade. If it is off-class junk, Sell it.

Step 5 — Upgrade keepers, sell junk

Gold is tight early. Rules of thumb:

  • Upgrade only gear you will still wear for at least the next dungeon or two.
  • Sell duplicates and off-stat pieces immediately.
  • Do not hybridize stats. A Mage dumping gold into unrelated melee stats slows clears more than a slightly lower rarity Spell Power stick.
  • Revisit Daily Reward every session so free gifts stack with dungeon loot.

After two or three Easy Desert Temple clears, try Normal if deaths are rare. Hardcore adds roughly +10% EXP, +10% luck, +1 drop, and one life—wait until your kit and dodge habits are stable. Details and Boss Raid timing are in How to Level Fast.

Step 6 — Plan the next hour

Once Desert Temple Easy feels free:

  1. Skim How to Beat Bosses before Winter Outpost and Pirate Island bosses.
  2. Follow the ladder on the Dungeon Walkthrough instead of random difficulty hops.
  3. Check Halloween Event while the Pumpkin King season is live in October 2026.
  4. Confirm there are still no redeemable codes on Codes, then invest time in clears instead of hunting fake code lists.
  5. Compare weapons and abilities on the Tier List when you start choosing between keepers.

Common day-one mistakes

  • Queuing Hardcore before learning telegraphs.
  • Upgrading every drop instead of selling junk.
  • Leaving abilities unequipped.
  • Ignoring Shift Lock and eating every ground circle.
  • Spreading upgrade gold across hybrid stats.
  • Skipping Daily Reward.

Avoid those six and your first session already outpaces most new lobby players. Dungeon Quest Reborn rewards clean loops: dungeon, loot, upgrade keepers, sell trash, repeat. Master that rhythm on Easy, then climb.

Quick checklist

  • Joined HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn lobby
  • Claimed Daily Reward
  • Chose Mage (recommended) or Warrior
  • Equipped weapon and abilities
  • Enabled Shift Lock (controls)
  • Cleared Desert Temple Easy
  • Upgraded keepers only; sold junk
  • Bookmarked Guides Hub for the next article

When the checklist is done, you are ready for focused leveling and the rest of the dungeon ladder.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn players.

What should I do first in the Dungeon Quest Reborn lobby?

Claim Daily Reward, then find the Upgrade and Sell NPCs so you know where to spend and liquidate loot after every dungeon.

Is Mage or Warrior better for beginners?

Mage is the recommended early pick because ranged Spell Power kits forgive telegraph mistakes. Warrior is fine if you already prefer melee spacing.

Which dungeon should I clear first?

Desert Temple on Easy. Learn packs and boss circles there before Normal, Nightmare, or Hardcore.

Should I upgrade every item I find?

No. Upgrade only keepers that match your class and next dungeon tier. Sell junk to fund those upgrades.

When do I turn on Hardcore?

After Easy and Normal clears feel consistent. Hardcore gives extra EXP, luck, and a drop, but one death ends the run.
