Weapons Tier List

Weapons decide your damage identity in HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn. This page ranks archetypes first (Sceptre, Sword, Bow, Great Sword, and supporting shapes), then layers the named Enchanted Forest chase list players actually farm. Return to the Tier List Hub for ability pairing, or jump to abilities when your weapon is settled but your Q / E slots are not.

Ranking rules (read before the tables)

  1. Compare rolls, not names. Physical, Spell, Stamina, and Health on the card beat lobby prestige.
  2. Match your damage stat. Physical weapons for Warrior routes; Spell weapons for Mage / heal-scaling routes.
  3. Dungeon bracket matters. Newer or higher-difficulty drops usually print bigger numbers than old Easy souvenirs.
  4. Upgrade only keepers. Gold at the lobby Upgrade NPC is permanent on that item—do not fund a temporary curiosity.
  5. Equip level gates are real. A god roll you cannot wear yet is a farm goal, not junk, but it should not block a usable upgrade today.

Early Access patches and seasonal events (Halloween Pumpkin King branding, Gilded Skies on October 17, 2026) can reshuffle ceilings. Re-check after notes on the Updates Hub.

Archetype tier list

S tier — Sceptre and Sword

ArchetypePrimary statWhy it is S
SceptreSpellBest default Mage shape: range, Spell scaling, clean Focus synergy
SwordPhysicalBest default Warrior shape: tempo, simplicity, broad armor fit

If you are unsure what to main in Dungeon Quest Reborn, pick Sword + Physical or Sceptre + Spell and commit. Hybrid “a little of both” spreads waste upgrades and confuse ability choices such as Inner Rage versus Inner Focus.

Sceptre players should prioritize Spell on weapons and armor, then look toward Mage Ultimates and Enhanced Inner Focus. Sword players mirror that plan on Physical with Enhanced Inner Rage.

A tier — Bow and Great Sword

ArchetypePrimary statWhy it is A
BowUsually Physical (confirm card)Excellent kiting and safer DPS seat; asks for spacing discipline
Great SwordPhysicalHigher commitment swings; shines when you know telegraphs

Bow and Great Sword are not “worse Sword”—they are specialist tools. A strong Bow roll that lets you live through Nightmare AoE can outclass a slightly higher Sword roll you die with. Still, for brand-new accounts, Sword / Sceptre remain the fastest teachers.

B tier — Dagger, Axe, War Hammer, flexible hybrids

ArchetypeNotes
DaggerMobility and fast hits; great when you already dodge well
AxeChunkier Physical trades; evaluate swing timing on bosses
War HammerHeavy hits; punish whiffs less often by learning patterns first
Hybrid / dual-styleOnly keep if both stats on the card serve your real build

B-tier weapons become A-tier for you when the roll is exceptional and the archetype matches muscle memory. They fall to C the moment you cling to them for vibes while a clean S-archetype drop sits unsold.

C tier — Starters, off-stat holds, nostalgia parks

Bronze Dagger, Starter Wand, and early wrong-stat experiments belong here once you have a real keeper. Selling the unused starter for gold is a classic first-hour win—see Getting Started. Do not upgrade C-tier pieces past the bare minimum needed to finish a tutorial clear.

Enchanted Forest chase weapons (named layer)

When your archetype is stable and you can clear high Enchanted Forest difficulties, community snapshots converge on these chase names. Treat the table as a target board, then still inspect every drop’s roll.

Other brackets players discuss as stepping stones or alternates include Outer Orbit pieces such as Galactic Dual Blades / Galactic Pike, Aquatic Temple Sea King weapons, and Northern Lands or Gildenscale Legendaries / Ultimates depending on the current number patch. When two Ultimates from different dungeons conflict in community chat, open both cards and compare—Enchanted Forest has repeatedly won raw-number arguments even against newer labels, but patches can invert that.

How to farm chase weapons without tilting

  1. Confirm you can clear the required difficulty with consistent lives remaining.
  2. Bring the correct Enhanced Inner buff once you own it (abilities page).
  3. Party with complementary roles when Nightmare checks become mechanical, not just DPS checks.
  4. After each run, sort inventory: equip upgrades, park future-level god rolls, sell the rest.
  5. Spend gold on the keeper’s correct stat line only.

Auto-farm scripts are a ban vector, not a gear strategy—see the Scripts Hub disclaimer if you were tempted.

Mid-ladder examples worth knowing

Before Enchanted Forest, you will rotate many dungeon-specific weapons. Names such as Inventor’s Greatsword / Spellblade or other bracket Legendaries matter only while their numbers beat your bag. The moment a higher bracket drop with a clean roll appears, sell emotional attachment with the Sell NPC.

A practical progression mindset:

  • Early — Any on-stat Sword or Sceptre that lets you finish Easy / Medium cleanly.
  • Mid — Best roll from the hardest dungeon you farm on repeat.
  • Late — Enchanted Forest Legendary stopgap.
  • Chase — Eden’s Vengeance or Eden’s Reaper (or the current patch’s true ceiling if notes change).

Armor and rings still decide wipes

Weapons get the spotlight, but Health on armor / rings and Stamina comfort prevent the “big weapon, constant death” trap. Tank and Healer seats may accept slightly lower weapon damage for survivability and party utility. DPS seats should still avoid glass setups that fail the first AoE.

Common weapon mistakes

  • Equipping a higher item level number with worse combat stats
  • Upgrading a weapon you will replace tomorrow
  • Running Spell abilities on a Physical sword (or the reverse) as a permanent plan
  • Ignoring set swap (F) so you never adapt tools mid-dungeon
  • Chasing Ultimates on a difficulty you cannot clear—farm one rung lower for gold and practice

Halloween note

Seasonal skins and lobby theming do not automatically create new S-tier DPS. Unless a patch lists combat changes, keep ranking by rolls and brackets. Enjoy the Pumpkin King aesthetic; upgrade the card that actually hits harder.

Stay disciplined: archetype first, roll second, famous name third. That order clears more chests than any rumor mill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn players.

Is Sceptre or Sword better in Dungeon Quest Reborn?

Both are S-tier archetypes. Choose Sceptre for Spell/Mage and Sword for Physical/Warrior. The “better” one is the one that matches the stat you actually upgrade.

Where do Bow and Great Sword rank?

Both sit in A tier: strong and viable, with more positioning or commitment demands than the Sword/Sceptre defaults.

What are the best Enchanted Forest chase weapons?

Community snapshots prioritize Eden’s Vengeance for Warriors and Eden’s Reaper for Mages, with Eldenbark Greatsword / Greatstaff as high-value Legendary stopgaps. Always verify the live roll.

Should I upgrade every Legendary I find?

No. Upgrade keepers that match your build and that you will use for many runs. Sell or park the rest to fund the real chase piece.

Do weapon names matter more than stats?

No. Compare Physical, Spell, Stamina, and Health on the card. A famous name with a weak roll loses to a clean roll you can equip and upgrade now.
