HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn Cosmetics Crates & Shop Guide
Rare, Epic, and Legendary Shop Crates, printed odds, direct gem purchases, and companion Sep 2026 QoL notes.
Cosmetics crates sit in the Shop Crates tab for HALLOWEEN Dungeon Quest Reborn. They spend gems on weapon skins, armor skins, auras, enchant effects, and titles—appearance only, never raw power. This Updates entry covers case prices, printed Legendary odds, when to buy a look outright instead of rolling, and the nearby Sep 2026 quality-of-life patch notes. Pair it with the Updates Hub, Getting Started, and the Tier List so you never confuse a skin with a keeper upgrade.
What cosmetics crates are
Crates are gem-gated loot boxes for flair. Opening a Rare, Epic, or Legendary Case can award cosmetic pieces you equip in the Cosmetics menu under Enchants, Weapons, Armors, and Titles. They do not drop from normal dungeon clears. If you want a new look, you farm or buy gems and open crates (or use direct purchase when offered).
Important boundaries:
- Cosmetics change how gear and effects look.
- They do not raise Spell Power, damage, defense, or drop luck.
- Seasonal skins such as Halloween Pumpkin Warrior are the same rule—pure flair. See the Halloween Event guide and Halloween 2026 update notes.
- Keepers for progression still come from dungeon loot and upgrades, not from crates. Follow How to Level Fast for XP routes.
Egg Island is sometimes mentioned as a cosmetics-adjacent farm. Skip it when your goal is XP or ladder gear; run finishable dungeons instead.
Case prices and odds
The Shop Crates tab (added around September 2026) lists three gem cases:
| Case | Price |
|---|---|
| Rare Case | 5,000 Gems |
| Epic Case | 7,500 Gems |
| Legendary Case | 10,000 Gems |
Legendary Case printed odds (as shown in-game):
| Rarity | Chance |
|---|---|
| Rare | 50% |
| Epic | 35% |
| Legendary | 15% |
Always re-check the live Shop UI—hotfixes can retune prices or odds. Treat this table as the planning baseline from the Sep 2026 cosmetics window, not a forever guarantee.
Budget reality check: ten Legendary Cases cost 100,000 gems and still leave you exposed to the 50% Rare band. If you only want one specific title or aura, rolling is a gamble; direct purchase (below) is often safer.
Direct gem purchases
Some cosmetics can be bought outright for roughly 10,000–20,000 gems instead of opening cases. Use direct buy when:
- You already know the exact skin, aura, or title you want.
- You dislike variance and would rather pay a fixed gem cost.
- You are saving crates for fun rolls after your look is secured.
Direct purchase is still cosmetics-only. Spending 20K gems on a weapon skin does not replace farming a stronger staff or sword from the current dungeon ladder. Keep gem spending in a separate mental bucket from upgrade gold and keeper upgrades.
Why cosmetics are not upgrades
New players often open a shiny case and assume the piece is BiS. It is not. Compare every equipped weapon and armor on stats, not VFX:
- Check Spell Power (Mage) or Warrior damage/defense on the actual gear drop.
- Upgrade keepers that win those comparisons.
- Apply cosmetics afterward so your best stats still show under a preferred skin.
- Sell junk dungeon loot—do not hoard duplicate cosmetics that clog inventory slots needed for real drops.
Halloween flair and Shop crate skins share that rule. A Pumpkin Warrior look with worse numbers loses to a plain keeper with better numbers. Use the Tier List and Guides Hub when you are unsure what to keep.
Never confuse crates with keepers. Crates = looks. Keepers = progression. Codes do not unlock cosmetics either—there is no redemption loop; see Codes only for that clarification.
Related Sep 2026 QoL notes
The same patch window that shipped Shop Crates also carried progression and lobby quality-of-life work. Confirm each note in the live lobby after you log in:
- Inventory sorting improvements so sell/upgrade loops are faster.
- Host UI cleanup for party leads.
- Hitbox fixes that change how some telegraphs and attacks feel.
- Weapon drop-rate adjustments—weapons nerfed roughly 55% → 35%, with helmets/armor rates boosted so armor pieces appear more often.
- Wave Defense mode notes for players who rotate that playlist.
- Blacksmith related notes affecting upgrade flow.
Treat these as companion QoL, not as reasons to dump gems into crates. Drop-rate shifts matter for dungeon farming; crate prices matter only for cosmetics budgets. Cross-check neighboring entries such as Gilded Skies when a new wing launches so your gem and gold plans stay separate.
Smart gem spending checklist
- Confirm case prices and Legendary odds in the Shop Crates tab
- Decide whether you want a specific look (direct buy ~10K–20K) or random rolls
- Bank gems only after Daily Reward, events, and dungeon goals are covered
- Never delay a keeper upgrade to open a cosmetic case
- Free inventory space before a farm session—cosmetics clutter blocks dungeon loot
- Skip Egg Island when chasing XP; use How to Level Fast
- Treat Halloween skins as flair (Halloween Event, Halloween 2026)
- Re-read Getting Started if you are still learning Desert Temple basics
- Bookmark the Updates Hub for hotfixes that retune Shop or drop rates
Summary
Shop Crates sell Rare (5,000), Epic (7,500), and Legendary (10,000) gem cases with printed Legendary odds of Rare 50% / Epic 35% / Legendary 15%. Cosmetics cover Enchants, Weapons, Armors, and Titles and never replace dungeon keepers. Prefer direct gem purchases when you need one look, keep Sep 2026 QoL notes verified in lobby, and spend gems for style only after your ladder gear is solid.
